Preferences of my SWPanel

You can define the SWPanel preferences by clicking on the name of your customer account and in the pop-up menu, choose the option My SWPanel preferences.

1. SWPanel Language

In the language configuration section, you can define the display language of your SWPanel.

2. Change the logo of your SWPanel

You can change the logo displayed in the side menu of your SWPanel by dragging an image over the area enclosed by the dotted line.

The maximum size of the logo must be 310x60px for the displayed side menu or 40x60px for the logo when the side menu is compacted.

3. Security Management on SWPanel

Defining passwords Setting passwords.

SWPanel allows you to define several options for passwords, including:

  • Allow "copy and paste" in password fields - For security, we recommend´´´´´´ NOT ´´´´´´enabling this option.
  • Allow passwords used in other accounts - If, for example, you have several email accounts with the same password, SWPanel will not let you set them for security.
  • Require minimum character length for passwords - You can set passwords to have a minimum character length.
  • Mandate minimum password strength - You can set passwords to contain special characters, such as ".", ",", "{", and so on.

In this section, you can define whether you want SWPanel to generate passwords automatically or to ask you to repeat it when typing it.

SWPanel access control

You can define the security at the moment of logging in to your SWPanel. The options to choose from are:

  • Enable two-factor authentication for SWPanel - If you enable two-factor authentication to access SWPanel, once you log in, the system will ask you for a code to validate your identity.

  • Send validation code by email - Each time you log in, you must specify the code that will be sent to the email address you have defined.

  • Select position of a coordinate card - You will be asked for a code that you will find in the coordinates of the customer card that you will have to print from the corresponding section.

  • Google Authenticator - Install the Google Authenticator application on your mobile device. Once installed, open the app and scan the QR Code to activate Authenticator for SWPanel.

  • Disable mandatory SWPanel access password change - By default, SWPanel requires you to change your password every 90 days. By checking this option, you will not be prompted every 90 days to change your SWPanel access password.

  • Do not send a SWPanel login notification e-mail - Every time we detect an invalid login to your account, a notification e-mail will be sent to you, unless you check this option.

Access blocking

To make your SWPanel as secure as possible, if you have fixed IPs, you can block it so that it is only accessible through your IPs.

Use the box below to type the IPs, separated by "," commas. You can enter as many IPs as you want. If you do not enter any IPs, the IP access blocking to your SWPanel is not activated.

Device or browser validation

This security option allows you to generate a controlled access list of authorized devices or browsers for your SWPanel account. All those that are not authorized or validated will not be able to access SWPanel, even if they know the access credentials.

The validation process is very simple, as soon as a new device is used to access your SWPanel account, you will receive an email to the account you have configured, with a 6-digit code that you will have to enter only the first time on that new device or browser. You can also select the maximum number of devices that can be validated, through the following box:

Analysis of unusual accesses to SWPanel.

The unusual access control to SWPanel allows you to generate a history of all the accesses to your SWPanel and to manage, automatically, notifications or blocking of those accesses to SWPanel, which are not considered to be usual accesses.

4. Management of Service Registration

SWPanel allows you to define the actions that it must perform during the process of creation / registration of a service.

  • Enable automatic login creation by service - By checking this box, SWPanel will automatically create a login account with the name of the created service.

5. Actions on domain registration

You can choose several configuration options in relation to the purchase, renewal or search of domains:

  • Show domain finder in the top bar - Check this option if you want SWPanel to show you, in the upper bar of the menus, a search engine to perform domain registration/transfer actions. This option will not be available if you hide the top menu bar.

  • Show domain notification icon in renewal period - Check if you want an icon showing at the top of the SWPanel indicating the number of domains that are within the renewal period. This icon will allow you to open a list of these domains and renew them instantly.

  • Show notification icon of domains that are about to enter autorenewal - Check if you want an icon showing at the top of the SWPanel indicating the number of domains that are about to enter the autorenewal period. This icon will allow you to open a list of these domains and you can cancel the autorenewal before it is activated.

6. SSL Certificate Management

You can choose different options regarding the management of SSL certificates:

  • Show notification icon for SSL Certificates in renewal period - Check if you want to display an icon at the top of the SWPanel indicating the number of SSL Certificates that are in the renewal period. This icon will allow you to open a list of these Certificates and renew them on the fly.

  • Show notification icon for SSL Certificates in the Autorenewal period - Check if you want an icon to be displayed at the top of the SWPanel indicating the number of SSL Certificates that are within the Autorenewal period.

7. SWPanel logout control

You can choose how SWPanel will behave when you logout.

These are the options available to you:

  • Notify logouts/logouts from your SWPanel - As a security measure for your data and services, SWPanel can notify you of all logouts/logouts being performed in your Panel, by e-mail.

  • Logout destination URL - You can choose a URL to which you will be redirected when logging out of SWPanel.

8. SWPanel color management

From this tab you can customize different aspects of your SWPanel display. You can choose between 6 color profiles and a completely dark mode, which will reduce your visual fatigue.

9. Dashboard display options

From this tab, you can choose different aspects related to the SWPanel display:

  • Listings display. SWPanel allows you to define the number of lines per page that the listings will have. You can raise or lower this number, so that in the sections where there is a listing, less or more elements will be displayed, depending on the number you have chosen.

  • Action queue window. The Action Queue window, will show you in the bottom right part of the Dashboards, all the operations that SWPanel is performing in the background. You can choose to show or not, this queue of actions:

  • Command and Control access bar for the services.

    • By default, SWPanel displays the Command and Control Bar in the Dashboard of each service. You can disable the display of this access bar by checking the checkbox to that effect.

    • Smart Block Bar - In the Command and Control access bar you can enable or disable the display of the Smart Block Bar, as well as choose whether you prefer to display the last actions performed or the most common actions you perform on the service.

  • SWPanel Dashboard

    From this section you can configure the options and appearance related to your SWPanel Dashboard, among them:

    • Show SWPanel Dashboard Quick Guides bar - When you enter the SWPanel or when you are in the Dashboard of some service, the guides corresponding to the use of SWPanel will be shown:

    • Include domain search in the domain portfolio block of your SWPanel Dashboard - You can select to have the top search bar search your domains as well or not.

  • SWPanel Quick Guides bar - You can enable or disable the guides per domain.

    You can enable or disable guides for each of the following options:

    • Quick Guides in the Service Dashboard.
    • Quick Guides in the Mail Dashboard
    • Quick Guides in the FTP Dashboard
    • Quick Guides in the Databases Dashboard
    • Quick Guides in the DNS Databases Dashboard
    • Quick Guides in the Permissions section
    • Quick Guides in the Domains and SSL Dashboard
    • Quick Guides on SWPanel Users Dashboard

10. Customizing the Side Menu

You can modify different customization options of the left side menu, among which:

  • Adjusting the size of the side menu.

    Here you can define and adjust the size you want the side menu to be. You can adjust the overall size, the size of the icons and the font size.

    You can define whether the menu will always be open, whether to show the icons or not, or the size from which the menu will be open. enter image description here
